What are Tarsyu Flowers?

Each one is tied to a unique passive or active 'Ancestor Skill'. Most sit on floating rocks or peaks, so you will want your banshee.

How to collect them

  1. 1

    The first one comes from the story (Songs of the Ancestor), and after that every other flower shows up on the map as a red light beam.

  2. 2

    Connect (tsaheylu) to the flower to learn its skill.

  3. 3

    Unlocked skills are listed under Skills > Ancestor Skills.

Kinglor Forest5

  • Air Boost

    Skill: Second jump press in mid-air gives a forward dash. Unlocked automatically during the early main quest Songs of the Ancestor. After it, the other red Tarsyu beams appear on your map.

  • Eject

    Skill: A melee hit on a stunned or hacked AMP throws the pilot out. Floating islets over the Threaded River, south-east of the Aranahe Hometree. Climb across the tree branches linking the rocks. A Computer Terminal (Treasure Hunt #1) is right beside it.

  • Drop Impact

    Skill: Airborne melee attacks hit harder the faster you fall and stun nearby enemies. Up on the Boundless Range floating mountains above Shadow Wood. You realistically need your banshee to get there.

  • Soft Landing

    Skill: Pressing crouch/glide just before landing halves fall damage. Inside a small cave on a little lake island, north of the Boundless Range and the Shaded Grove camp.

  • Deeper Connection

    Skill: Raises your banshee's energy pool. In the giant tree just north of Laser Ore Processor Alpha. The base's pollution blocks it, so you must first beat the level-20 base. Save this one for late game.

  • Way of the Diplomat

    Skill: More clan favor from clan tasks and activities. Up on the Great Tusk rock, south-east of The Circle and Oil Extractor Alpha.

  • Screech

    Skill: Your banshee can screech to damage and confuse enemies within about 75 m. At the back of a cave in the distinctive stone formations south-west of the Weeping Steps.

  • Wing Gust

    Skill: Landing with the banshee releases a damaging gust (about 30 m radius). On the summit of Toruk Peak, south of Horizontal Miner Alpha.

  • Ghost Strike

    Skill: +30% stealth attack damage. Deep inside a cave in the First Zakru, far north of The Circle. You have to swim through an underwater passage. A Tarsyu Sapling is nearby.

  • Reconnaissance

    Skill: Na'vi Senses show RDA patrol routes. Under the western foot of the huge stone arch over the Twisted Pillar River, north-east of The Circle.

  • Free Fast Travel

    Skill: Fast travel no longer costs energy. At the end of a cave near the top of Grasping Mountain, east of The Hollows.

    Skill: Touching a Tarsyu Sapling reveals another undiscovered sapling on the map. By a lake on top of the Crying Giant, north of The Hollows.
